Il Passetto, the beach of Ancona: it is the city beach of the city of Ancona, easily reachable on foot from the center. The Passetto is located at the end of Viale della Vittoria, where the pine forest overlooks the sea. A beautiful monument, the war memorial, towers over the steps leading to the rocky beach. The characteristic “caves”, once used by fishermen, are nowadays used by the people of Ancona as real summer houses.
