Ancona is the capital of the Marche: a city rich in history and charm that rises on a promontory formed by the slopes of Monte Conero. The city has a lot to offer: the most representative monument is certainly the Cathedral of San Ciriaco, which stands on a hill overlooking the historic center and the port. The ancient port itself offers wonders to visit such as the Arch of Trajan and the Mole Vanvitelliana.
From the center you can also easily reach the city beach of Passetto, with its characteristic caves carved into the rock. A few kilometers away stands Monte Conero, on whose slopes we find the splendid bay of Portonovo with its beautiful beaches with crystal clear water.
